A step backwards for Thomas Bordeleau

The San Jose Sharks demoted forward Thomas Brodeleau to the American Hockey League (AHL) on Monday.

The son of Sébastien Bordeleau scored one goal and one assist for two points in six games in the National League this season. He will join the San Jose Barracuda, the team he primarily played for in 2022-2023. This season, he scored 22 goals and had 19 assists for 41 points in 65 AHL games.

The Houston, Texas native has 22 games of experience on the Bettman circuit and has nine points. Bordeleau is a second-round pick (38th overall) of the Sharks in the 2020 draft.

In addition, the San Jose club has removed the name of striker Mikael Granlund from the injured list. He has been sidelined since October 13th due to an undisclosed injury.
