Sandy and Junior rose to prominence in the media at a young age by releasing hit songs that defined generations. However, the musician assured that there was no influence from this environment on his private life. And so it happened with the separation from his sister, who, according to his own statements, personally informed him that his marriage to Lucas was over.

“Ah, it was surprising too,” he admitted. “But I didn’t receive it [a notícia]Obviously from the press, right? So we talked, both talked to me. [Eles falaram]“Look, we have something to tell you,” Junior revealed. In fact, the announcement surprised many of the singer’s fans, especially after 15 years of marriage to Lucas and 24 years of dating. Xororó’s son pointed out that both had changed a lot over the years and emphasized the maturity with which Sandy and Lucas led the process.

“Her approach to this topic is so mature, which I really admire. This can happen to anyone and is normal [a separação]. And they had such a long, long relationship. When they started, they were completely different people. We are so many versions of ourselves throughout our lives. So I’ve seen multiple versions of the couple and now I think it’s a new one,” he said.

Junior shared what the dynamic was like between Sandy and Lucas after the divorce and explained that he gave them both a lot of strength. “Their relationship continues. They are super sweet, you can even see it in the media. They have great affection for each other. The relationship has really changed. It surprised me at first, but I also understood it and gave it strength. I pass on so that they are very happy,” said the artist.

fatherhood

In a new phase of his professional and personal life, Junior talked about how his new solo project affected fatherhood or what he had to change to the detriment of his children Otto and Lara. “It impacts a lot of things because I think fatherhood is very transformative, right? It was very similar for me. And I feel like with the birth of my children the weight of everything changed. So I think that all the priorities, all the important things in our lives are being redistributed so that children can take that place,” said the musician.

“I think the arrival of these ‘little people’ here in my life was very overwhelming for me. My reason for things has changed, my why, you know. It gave me more appetite for everything, it gave me more excitement in life,” he emphasized. The first pregnancy of his wife Mônica Benini, to whom the singer has been married since 2014, was a joy and surprise for the family.

“It was very clear to me when we saw that Mônica was pregnant with Otto, so in her first pregnancy, when I realized that this was becoming concrete, that I was going to become a father, I felt attacked, a thrill in life. The desire to achieve something, to do things,” Junior revealed. “I felt like a lion, you know? [De falar assim]: “Damn, wait a minute, because I have to take care of this child that is coming.” Do you know the feeling of a lion? “I felt with a different motivation,” the composer added.

Clearly, Junior is thinking about the future he wants to build for the little ones. “I do things with the thought that they will be proud of them in the future. They will look back and see what daddy did. It’s really crazy, but that’s how they occupy an important place in my life. And music, my work, my profession occupy the rest of my being. “That’s why my family and my music are absolutely fundamental to making me feel good, happy and complete,” emphasized the singer. “The presence and arrival of children is therefore overwhelming,” he admitted.

Children from the Internet

The artist then explained his decision not to expose children on social media. The sister also chooses the same attitude towards her only son Theo. “I think it has to be a decision for my children whether they want to be famous or not and whether they want to make that choice. I think children being exposed on the internet is so sensitive. There are people with all kinds of agendas, and I know very well the price of this exposure,” he said, recalling the experience of being in the spotlight alongside Sandy.

“So why should I bring them to this place now when they don’t even know? [o que é]? You get to know life and the world. And there’s so much to it, there are so many layers. As long as I can spare them this and give them as normal a life as possible, more real, more tangible,” Junior added.

The musician then briefly described how he felt when he was younger and at the center of the media, at the height of his career with his sister. “We already live in a reality that is outside the reality of the vast majority of people in our country, a comfortable life. You don’t need more of that, you know? I really appreciate the construction of the psyche of these two little people who are now arriving and already finding their way in such a complicated world. I won’t factor that into this equation anymore. “For what?” he asked.

“They have nothing to do with my public life, they didn’t have that choice. I made this very small choice. Luckily I didn’t regret it, but I might have regretted it now. Luckily, I was completely right. That this was my essence, my life. But it couldn’t have been that way, the story could have been completely different. So I feel like if I can spare them these days, why not? And I don’t hide it, I just don’t show it,” explained Xororó’s son.

“At some point you could even find their faces there on my Instagram,” he pointed out. The artist also highlighted his fears as a father if his children appeared more often on the Internet.

“But it’s not something I mention all the time, especially because I prefer that they not be recognized when they are far from their father, or that they soon start to become a little more aware of the world and already a have a super popular social network.” . . Social media is cool, but it has such a “bullshit” side. I won’t do that to these kids. All in all, I don’t think it makes any sense to me. Everyone has an experience with it, an experience. This is mine. So I don’t want to spare her, I want to spare her,” Junior concluded.

In the same conversation, the artist talked about the start of his solo career and why it took so long. Read everything by clicking here.
