This Monday, October 30th, we find Samsung monopolizing the tech news headlines. The Galaxy S24 Ultra unveils its camera while the Android-based One UI 6.0 software overlay rears its ugly head among French users of the Galaxy S23. Huawei is moving further away from the Google ecosystem, even going so far as to report the Google application as malware. In the battle to see who can attract the most new subscribers, Amazon scores over Netflix by signing a partnership with the leading anime service.
Thanks to this major partnership, Prime Video expands its catalog to include thousands of anime
Japanese culture with manga and anime is attracting more and more fans around the world. Despite its already extensive catalog, Amazon didn’t have much to offer in the way of Japanese animation. This is about to change completely as the online trading giant has signed an agreement with Crunchyroll, the largest SVOD platform for anime. The service currently has 100 million subscribers, as many customers as Prime Video wants to attract to its service.

The Chinese company is not only developing an operating system that will ultimately replace Android in the long term, but is also starting to replace the services offered through Google Mobile Services with its own solutions. Instead of Google’s Play Protect, Huawei offers a security application based on Avast’s virus detection and elimination engine, which, strangely enough, Google considers “infected.”
