Buffalo Bills 24, Tampa Bay Buccaneers 18
Offensive Spotlight: Bills quarterback Josh Allen returned to his old self, going 31 of 40 for 324 yards, two touchdowns and an unfortunate interception on a tipped ball. He averaged 8.1 yards per pass attempt, posted an 81.6% adjusted completion rate, and added 41 yards and another touchdown on seven carries as a runner.

Carolina Panthers 15, Houston Texans 13
Defensive Spotlight: Panthers linebacker Frankie Luvu was everywhere for Carolina. He finished the game with twelve total tackles, two tackles for loss, two passes defensed and one sack.

Dallas Cowboys 43, Los Angeles Rams 20
Rookie Spotlight: Rams rookie wide receiver Puka Nacua was largely held in check en route to three receptions for 43 yards.
Cowboys rookie tight end Luke Schoonmaker recorded a 13-yard reception while recovering from an injury. If Schoonmaker can continue to develop as a blocker and pass catcher, Dallas could have a nice one-two punch of young tight ends alongside second-year tight end Jake Ferguson, who added four receptions for 47 yards and a touchdown.

Miami Dolphins 31, New England Patriots 17
Offensive Spotlight: Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa went 30 of 45 for 324 passing yards, three passing touchdowns and one interception. Right off the bat, he made two great throws and two game-winning plays.

Minnesota Vikings 24, Green Bay Packers 10
Defensive Spotlight: Packers edge rusher Rashan Gary had his most anonymous pass-rushing performance of the season despite finally seeing a full workload of snaps and pass rushes. Gary rushed the passer 29 times, mostly against the Vikings’ right guard Brian O’Neill. According to PFF’s first review of the feature, it recorded a print rate of under 5.0%.

New York Jets 13, New York Giants 10
Rookie Spotlight: Several rookies played extensively in this game, but perhaps the most active was Giants cornerback Deonte Banks. The first-rounder was targeted 13 times total and allowed seven catches for 100 yards. Four of the seven catches Banks gave up moved the chains, but he had two pass breakups on the other side of the ledger.

Philadelphia Eagles 38, Washington Commanders 31
Offensive Spotlight: AJ Brown managed eight receptions for 130 yards and two touchdowns on the day, including a remarkable one-handed catch on a back-shoulder that had Benjamin St-Juste all over him. Brown’s 130 receiving yards in that game made him the first wide receiver in NFL history to record 125 or more receiving yards in six straight games.

Jacksonville Jaguars 20, Pittsburgh Steelers 10
Defensive Spotlight: Jacksonville’s run defense continues to play like a top-five unit, with the return of center back Davon Hamilton only strengthening the group further. Pittsburgh managed just 70 yards on 18 carries and no ball carrier managed 20 rushing yards. Edge defender Josh Allen continues his torrid pace early in the season, adding two more sacks with Travon Walker also coming home for a sack. Both continued to put pressure on the game.

New Orleans Saints 38, Indianapolis Colts 27
Rookie Spotlight: Wide receiver Josh Downs saw plenty of action again, converting nine targets into seven balls for 72 yards, while offensive tackle Blake Freeland struggled in both run blocking and pass protection. For the Saints, both safety Jordan Howden and defensive lineman Bryan Bresee had solid games and saw significant action in the win.

Tennessee Titans 28, Atlanta Falcons 23
Offensive Spotlight: 2023 second-round pick Will Levis started his first NFL game without Tannehill, and early results were very positive as he threw for 238 yards and four touchdown passes, for a passer rating of 130.5.
Levis’ successful NFL debut also enabled DeAndre Hopkins’ reemergence as a top offensive weapon, as he caught three of Levis’ four touchdown passes. Hopkins totaled 128 yards, surpassing 65 yards in a game for only the second time this season.

Seattle Seahawks 24, Cleveland Browns 20
Defensive Spotlight: Seattle’s defense outperformed Cleveland’s defense in this game. The Seahawks posted three sacks, two interceptions, six pass breakups and one forced fumble. Jamal Adams and Julian Love combined for a clutch interception in the fourth quarter while the team was on the ground, with Adams punching a pass into the air for Love to deflect. That pick was the start of Seattle’s game-winning touchdown drive.

Cincinnati Bengals 31, San Francisco 49ers 17
Rookie Spotlight: Bengals rookie wide receiver Andrei Iosivas found paydirt again this week, with a hook near the right end line on a scramble to the right side of Joe Burrow. Even with a fully healthy trio at wide receiver for Cincinnati, the rookie finds his way onto the field quite well, including in the red zone.

Denver Broncos 24, Kansas City Chiefs 9
Offensive Spotlight: Patrick Mahomes, who was reportedly sick with the flu, had significant misses in the game. He had several bad plays and even though his receivers let him down, he wasn’t at his usual level. Mahomes averaged just 6.2 yards per attempt and was sacked three times. It is the first loss in the road division of his NFL career.

Baltimore Ravens 31, Arizona Cardinals 24
Defensive Spotlight: The Ravens were beaten in the trenches early in the game, with the exception of Michael Pierce. The mammoth nose tackle was unblockable at times and finished the game with four solo tackles, a pass batted in and a sack, as well as a forced fumble.
The Cardinals had some success against a Ravens offense that dominated against the Detroit Lions just a week ago. Dante Stills was involved in two sacks, while Antonio Hamilton Sr. was involved in two pass breakups. Jalen Thompson, Zaven Collins and Starling Thomas V also scored one goal each. Despite this success, Arizona was unable to slow down the Ravens’ rushing attack late in the game.

Rookie Spotlight: This was the best game of rookie Quentin Johnston’s young career. He finished the game with career highs in targets (6), catches (5) and receiving yards (50).
