Police shot dead a woman in a Paris metro station who had threatened to blow herself up. The Paris public prosecutor’s office said the woman had previously made death threats on a train heading to the center this morning.
When he failed to comply with the requests of the alarmed police officers at the railway station, a police officer fired a shot. The woman was seriously injured.
The woman shouted “God is incomparably great” in Arabic, the newspaper “Le Parisien” reported, citing police. The fully veiled woman was shot in the stomach and taken to a clinic, according to broadcaster France Info.
Two investigations started
No explosives were found. According to the Public Ministry, two investigations were opened – against the woman because of her threats and also routinely against the police officer who fired the gun.
