Walt Disney World Monorail is stuck
A Disney World monorail came to a complete stop on its way to Epcot this morning. A passenger on board told me he heard a loud explosion sound and then a flash of light. His car was evacuated about 15 minutes ago. I’m working to determine the cause of the outage. @fox35orlando pic.twitter.com/BhyMVQ6GSQ

FOX 35 Orlando reporter Pattrik Perez posted photos of the scene at 10:56 a.m. on October 31, 2023 on X, more than an hour after FOX 35 first reported the news. Photos and videos from inside the monorail come from Kris Lenk, who was stuck in the monorail but has since been evacuated.
News 6 WKMG producer Landon McReynolds said the Reedy Creek Fire Department and the Orange County Fire Department responded to the scene. At 10:58 a.m., guests were still being evacuated.

Lenk told FOX 35 Orlando: “There was a loud bang explosion and then we saw a big flash of light, so to speak. After that, the monorail slowed down.” He also said he smelled burning rubber and a little smoke.
Monorail Yellow is the train stuck on the route from the Transportation and Ticket Center to EPCOT. This monorail underwent a major renovation at the end of 2021.
