Mick Mars (Mötley Crüe) releases the video for his first single Loyal To The Lie; and reveals details about his upcoming album – MetalZone

Glam metal legend Mick Mars has just released his first ever solo single “Loyal To The Lie”. A music video was filmed for the track, which you can watch below.

The song marks not only his first solo outing, but also his first new music since his acrimonious split from Mötley Crüe and the ongoing legal battle that accompanied it.

Although Mars is a one-off project, it is not a solo effort. Vocalists Jacob Bunton and Brion Gamboa contributed to Mars’ debut album, as did bassist and producer Chris Collier, keyboardist Paul Taylor and Korn drummer Ray Luzier.

This album is called “The Other Side Of Mars” and will be released on February 23rd via Mars’ company 1313 LLC.

Mars comments: “I wanted to do something big and bad. People will hear my tone, my sound. I am what I am. No one else can do the same. And like everyone, I only have a limited number of years. So I’m going to do everything I can to get a lot of things done.”

“As far as my game is concerned, there is the Mötley side and the Mars side. Regardless, I always have a very clear idea of what I want to do.”
