Things are getting hot at the La Selva mansion in Terra e Paixão. Irene (Gloria Pires) and Antônio (Tony Ramos) will exchange pictures in the house after he catches the halfnaked woman in bed with Vinícius (Paulo Rocha). After shooting his rival and throwing his body into the river, the farmer also points the gun at Petra’s mother (Debora Ozório). However, the lady reveals that she also has a revolver and the two will shoot at each other.
The confusion will happen in the episode of Globo’s nine o’clock soap opera, airing on Wednesday (8). Antônio believes he has killed Vinícius, comes home and points the gun at the woman. He says it’s time to get revenge for the horns she put on his head.
“I still haven’t decided what I’m going to do to make you pay for the humiliation you caused me. The whole town needs to talk about the horns I took from the bitch I took out of my life to be my wife,” he will say.
Full of confidence, Irene will recall several lovers he has had, including Berenice (Thati Lopes). “You are nothing more than a hypocrite, like all men of your ilk. Do you think you’re better than me, Antônio? Only you, who had I don’t know how many lovers? How do you think I felt? to have to lay at your side, knowing that you just left the arms of another woman?”
He will say he is a man and she will accuse him of sexism. Irene will also say that the only reason he didn’t break up with her on the day they celebrated their 30th anniversary was because she gave him Aline’s (Barbara Reis) lands as a token of her love.
“What a token of love, nothing! I bet you slept with that halfassed geologist back then!” he scoffs. Irene will tease, “You’re wrong, darling. I had an affair with him long before that! And it was good… Oh, how good it was!”
Antônio, who has already lowered his weapon, becomes angry and points the revolver at her again. “You bitch,” he’ll scream. Irene then reveals that she is also armed: “Shoot, Antônio! Shoot, I’ll shoot too!” In anger he will shoot and hit a vase. The vixen will fight back and Antônio will fire another shot. At the end of the shootout the room is destroyed.
Luigi (Rainer Cadete) and Angelina (Inez Viana) will hear everything in fear, but they will refuse to get involved in the fight. Caio (Cauã Reymond) and Ademir (Charles Fricks) will arrive at that moment and will be able to disarm Antônio. “Enough! Enough violence! Do you want to kill each other?!” the farmer’s son will scream. “She has to leave this house now! “If she doesn’t want to die!” the villain will scream. “I do not go! This is my house! You go,” Irene will reply.
Tired of the war, everyone goes into a room. “The two of them cannot continue together under the same roof,” Caio will say to Angelina. “Look, knowing these two, I doubt either of them will back down,” the housekeeper will wager.
Terra e Paixão was written by Walcyr Carrasco and Thelma Guedes. The story takes place in the fictional town of Nova Primavera in Mato Grosso do Sul. The story will remain on air until January 19 next year and will be replaced by the remake of Renascer (1993).
