Ukraine: Biggest Russian attack since the beginning of the year news

According to Ukrainian sources, Russia bombed more than 100 locations in Ukraine in 24 hours. 118 locations in ten regions were attacked, Ukrainian Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko said in online media today. “This is the highest number of cities and villages attacked since the beginning of the year.”

The Kiev government also reported a Russian attack on an oil refinery in the central industrial city of Kremenchuk. There were no casualties, but around 100 firefighters fought the fire for several hours.

Local authorities said one person was killed in overnight shelling in the northeast region of Kharkiv. Another was killed in the southern region of Kherson. A woman was also killed and four people injured in the southern city of Nikopol, the local governor said.

The Ukrainian Air Force said it shot down 18 of 20 Russian drones launched overnight.
