Two Arizona Coyotes players pulled off a special feat of weaponry on Monday night, each scoring a Gordie Howe-style hat trick.
To this end, Liam O’Brien and Jack McBain each collected a goal and an assist, and also took part in a battle against the Chicago Blackhawks.

This is the first time something like this has happened since 1988. None other than McBain’s father Andrew had a Gordie Howe hat trick. He and his Winnipeg Jets teammate Peter Taglianetti had a blast against the Calgary Flames.
Never one to turn down a fight, Montreal Canadiens defenseman Arber Xhekaj could have to defend against one of these two sluggers when the Habs visit the Coyotes on Thursday. The Swiss strongman overthrew Ryan Reaves and Dmitry Voronkov this season.
McBain had the best game of his young career in an 8-1 win over the Hawks. He scored four points, two goals and two assists and exchanged blows with Jarred Tinordi at the end of the second period.
Meanwhile, O’Brien accepted Nick Foligno’s invitation to dance.
However, the two Coyotes players hit the ground first and O’Brien clearly showed the signs of his struggle. Will they dare to clash with the mighty Xhekaj?
