One of the biggest fears surrounding Matthew Perry’s death is that he had relapsed and taken drugs at his home in Los Angeles on the day of his death. However, initial toxicology tests confirmed that the “Friends” actor did not die from an overdose of fentanyl or methamphetamine, drugs that have unfortunately killed several people in the United States, including celebrities such as Angus Cloud, Prince and Mac Miller.

Law enforcement sources told TMZ that investigators conducted an initial test on Perry, which revealed he had no traces of the hard drugs in his system. However, further tests are carried out as part of toxicology to analyze whether there are other illegal drugs in his blood and whether the concentration of the prescribed medication shows harmful doses.

It is expected to take four to six months for these results to be available. Once all data is collected, the medical examiner will determine the cause and manner of death of the 54yearold actor.

Police found prescription medicines in Matthew’s house, duly prescribed to the actor for his various illnesses and stored in appropriate bottles. The initial analysis provides guidelines for the work of the Robbery and Homicide Squad investigating the case.
