Courteney Cox has been photographed for the first time since the death of her Friends co-star Matthew Perry.
The 59-year-old “Scream” star was spotted leaving Nobu Malibu in California with her longtime boyfriend Johnny McDaid on Monday night.
The actress looked dejected as she got into her vehicle after a night out with friends.
She and the rest of the cast of the popular NBC sitcom released a joint statement on Perry’s death just hours earlier.
“We are all deeply devastated by the loss of Matthew. We were more than just cast mates. We are a family,” her statement, obtained by People, said. “There is so much to say, but for now we will take a moment to grieve and process this incredible loss.”
“Over time we will say more as we are able,” the statement continued. “Right now our thoughts and love are with Matty’s family, his friends and everyone who loved him around the world.”

The 56-year-old swimmer was also spotted for the first time since Monday’s tragic news. Unlike Cox, he was traveling across the country at the time, leaving his residence in New York City.
Perry was found dead in his hot tub at his California home on Saturday at the age of 54. He was unresponsive and had died before first responders arrived at the scene.

On Wednesday, law enforcement sources told TMZ that investigators conducted a less detailed test on the actor, which revealed he did not have fentanyl or methamphetamine in his system at the time of his death.
Further tests are currently being carried out as part of the toxicology report, which could take months. His cause of death is currently listed as “postponed.”
