Sober Matthew Perry has been “not feeling well for a long time” and was still in shock over the announcement of his death, according to the co-creators of Friends.

Audiences’ favorite actor was found lifeless in his hot tub on Saturday. The 54-year-old interpreter of Chandler in Friends has been battling drug and alcohol addiction for years.
According to the co-creators of the cult series, Perry was sober at the time of his death.

There were lots of flowers outside Matthew Perry’s home in Pacific Palisades.
“He seemed to be doing well, better than I’ve seen him in a long time,” Marta Kauffman said on the Today show Wednesday morning.
“He was emotionally comfortable in his own skin. He looked good. He had stopped smoking,” continued the screenwriter and producer along with her accomplice David Crane.
Although the producer knew about his friend’s difficult past, the news of his death came as a real shock.
“There was a party that was preparing for something like this,” Mr. Crane said. It’s still hard to believe because she was such a vibrant person. »
