According to this information, due to high demand during the Christmas holidays, American Airlines will operate three flights per week between Miami and Montevideo with a daily frequency between December 20th and January 7th. American will depart Miami on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday and arrive in Montevideo the next day. The return flight departs Carrasco at 10:00 p.m. local time on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

According to the above-mentioned media, the Boeing 787-8, which serves the route between Miami and Montevideo, has a capacity for 20 passengers in business class, 28 in premium economy and 186 in the cheapest class.
However, they warn that American Airlines will only fly to Montevideo during the southern hemisphere summer season. The last flight from Miami is scheduled for March 29th and the last flight from Montevideo is scheduled for March 30th.
During the off-season, American Airlines sells tickets to Montevideo with a connection in São Paulo, Brazil, under an agreement with GOL.
