The alleged culprit’s name is Jonathan J. Dunn. He was officially accused of disturbing the crew of a scheduled flight on August 22, 2022.

“They did not agree on what to do if the flight was diverted due to a passenger’s medical problem. Dunn told the captain he would be shot multiple times if he changed the “flight route,” according to a U.S. Department of Transportation press release.

The indictment states that Mr. Dunn allegedly “assaulted and intimidated a member of the crew, causing the crew to fail to perform their duties and impairing their ability to perform those duties, and that he allegedly used a dangerous weapon, by attacking and intimidating crew members.” .

The defendant was lawfully in possession of a weapon during the flight after obtaining permission from the Federal Flight Deck Officer of the Transportation Security Administration (FDA).

Delta airline says Mr. Dunn is no longer an employee.
