The message marks one of this month’s featured podcast suggestions. At the beginning of November there will be an analysis by the ultra-candidate Javier Milei before the second round of the presidential elections in Argentina. We also recommend much more timeless topics like the psychology of money and the fusion of cooking and comedy, as well as a very personal story from Catalina May, half of the Chilean duo behind The Rares.

‘I’m looking for you’

Las Raras, the great podcast from Chile, returns with a very special and very personal project. One half of this team, journalist Catalina May, recounts the moment she was run over at the age of 23 and almost died. The result was amnesia, many broken bones and a trauma that he had never talked about until now. Two decades have passed and for Te Busco, an eight-part audio documentary from Podium Podcast told in police voice and first-person perspective, she has begun to reconstruct what really happened when she tried to find the man who she ran over with help from Martín Cruz. It can be heard from Wednesday, November 8th.

‘Out of control’

This co-production of EL PAÍS Audio and Anfibia Podcast, presented by María O’Donnell, analyzes the figure of the Ultra candidate Javier Milei and how he has become a possible option for the presidency of Argentina. In four parts he explains who he is, where he comes from and how he managed to get closer to the Casa Rosada by defeating the Peronist Sergio Massa. This Monday, November 6th, the first two episodes will premiere and the following Monday, November 13th, the remaining two will air just before the second round of elections in the country.

Massa and Milei are vying to lead a nation in perpetual crisis after Massa and Milei claimed victory against all odds in the first round of Argentina’s presidential election.

“My dressing room”

At the end of the summer, the public body launched RTVE Play Podcast, a service that compiles all audio content. For example, this section on Radio 3 Extra!, a personal program in which musician Javier Vielba (part of groups such as Arizona Baby, Corizonas and El Meister) shares songs, anecdotes and reflections on music and popular culture. With the RTVE channel’s very own style dedicated to independent music, the musician dedicates episodes to colleagues such as Courtney Love, Gary Lee Coner and the Sex Pistols. The Macro Project promises to encourage native suggestions and not be a simple container for radio programs.

“Capital”

Joan Tubau analyzes an increasingly fashionable concept: the psychology of money. This is done with topics that are always close to every listener and that need to be updated as economic waves change, with current events and with interviews with some actors of the Spanish economic reality. There are many episodes to choose from and each user can adapt this podcast to their personal interests and needs. In its most recent editions – more than a hundred editions have been published since its inception – it covers topics such as sustainable urbanism, which careers today’s young people should study and the Swedish theory of love.

In English: “Off Menu”

Off Menu with Ed Gamble and James Acaster combines food and comedy in the same podcast, with both comedians suggesting their guests choose the menu of their dreams: starter, main course, side, drink and dessert. Although it is a British project, the Spanish-speaking listener will know many of the celebrities taking part in it. For example, the actor Paul Mescal (star of the series Normal People), the musicians Jarvis Cocker, Arlo Parks and Ed Sheeran or the actress Florence Pugh.
