That woman, Athenna Crosby, spoke out for the first time in an interview with US Weekly published on Wednesday (1Nov23).
“He talked all the time and was super happy that we were spending time together,” remembers Athenna Crosby. “It was great. He was in a good mood, told me about his life and told me funny stories about his career in the industry. He told me how much he was looking forward to a second career, that difficulties had hampered his acting ambitions, that but he had changed everything and was looking forward to giving it back. »

Athenna Crosby said Friday’s lunch was only her second face-to-face meeting with the actor. While she described the actor as “very private,” she also noted that he spoke openly about his past battle with drug addiction.
“He was very healthy and talked about how excited he was to play pickleball and how he got the taste for it,” she told the outlet. “He told me to try it, it was fun. He told me he lost weight and got back in shape. »
She added: “He was in a positive mood and he was doing very well, he was in very good shape.” »
Athenna Crosby claimed the comedian had come back “really stronger” from his alcohol addiction, saying: “He said he was immersed in his addiction for many years and came completely out of it.” He was teetotal and didn’t order a single drink. »
