Yellowstone Final Episodes Premiere Date CONFIRMED: Kevin Costner’s series is coming to an end with season five… but two more spin-off series are on the way

The final episodes of Yellowstone have a date.

The final episodes of the popular CBS series starring Kevin Costner are scheduled to air in November 2024, Paramount announced Thursday.

This comes just months after it was announced that the 68-year-old lead actor would be leaving the series in Season 5.

However, die-hard Yellowstone fans have received some good news as Paramount has greenlit two new spin-off series.

One will be named 1944 and the other is a contemporary series currently titled 2024.

In the Yellowstone universe there are already two spin-off series entitled 1883 and 1923, which are very popular.

American filmmaker and actor Taylor Sheridan is the brains behind the franchise and spin-offs when Yellowstone first premiered in 2018.

The relationship between Costner and Sheridan, 53, has been anything but harmonious, with reporting new details about their dispute in April.

Sources claimed Sheridan developed a “God complex,” which reportedly frustrated Costner with developing the hit Paramount Network series.

The network also claimed that morale among cast members had fallen because they were not kept informed about Costner’s negotiations with producers.

“Kevin will forever be proud and grateful for Yellowstone and the cast is like family to him,” the source said of Costner, who recently won a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor for his portrayal of John Dutton.

“He just felt that Yellowstone was going in a direction that wasn’t their original vision, and he faced criticism, including that he should just stick to acting.”

Chris McCarthy, president and CEO of Showtime and MTV Entertainment Studios, released a statement on Thursday saying: “In five years, we have taken Yellowstone from a successful US cable show with five million viewers to a global hit franchise with over 100 million fans around the world” and multiple expansions – and we’re just getting started.

“Following the success of 1883 and 1923, our new planned spin-offs 1944 and 2024 will take audiences on an exciting, new and unexpected journey, with the complex and compelling narrative that has become a hallmark of the franchise and has helped making it a worldwide cultural phenomenon – thanks to the creative mastermind of Taylor Sheridan.’
