In the National Hockey League, Patrick Maroon gained some notoriety by winning three championships in three years with two different teams, but that pales in comparison to the accomplishments of pitcher Will Smith.
With his participation in the Texas Rangers’ conquest of the World Series, the 34-year-old reliever wrote a chapter in the history of major baseball. He has now won three championships in a row with three different clubs.

Smith’s winning streak began in 2021 when he was instrumental in the Atlanta Braves’ championship run. He was on the Houston Astros’ roster last year but didn’t play in the World Series.
“They’re all special, but this one is pretty cool,” Smith told MLB Network of his three wins.
“That’s obviously why you play, you want to win the last part of the year. “This group is great and it was a lot of fun to be a part of,” added the man who led the Rangers with 22 saves during the regular season.
This year, the American spent one and one third inning on the mound in two games of this series against the Arizona Diamondbacks. He allowed one hit and two runs.
Back to Maroon: The powerful forward won the Stanley Cup with the St. Louis Blues in 2019 before doing the same with the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2020 and 2021.
