“I dressed up as Freddie Mercrury in I Want to Free Myself. I was extremely embarrassed as I tried to go to the ladies’ room. As I was about to enter, security stopped me and said, ‘The men’s room is on the other side. With a desperate gesture, I stuck out my chest and asked, “Do you really want me to go to the men’s room?” She let me,” he said Valeria.
In a video, Valéria showed dismantling the costume to enjoy the end of the party. She admitted on Instagram that she cried a lot in the bathroom.
“I cried in the bathroom, took off my costume and my night ended there! The fragility of my gender identity is so great for cisgenderity that any ‘deviation’ from the gender symbol erases me. I am shocked, sad and insulted. “Does a team like Fairmont allow that?” he wrote.
The “Land and Passion” actress said the event’s host provided all possible help but was still waiting for a response from the hotel.
“Narcissa, thank you for your affection, care and love.”
Celebrities expressed their solidarity with Valéria.
“Lover! That’s because you’re on the nine o’clock soap opera!!! That’s because you stayed in an incredible hotel. But… An unprepared being full of prejudice has decided to be the master of morality! Regrettable. “Feel hugged!”, said Astrid Fontenelle. “My love, such a situation is incredible. Count on me,” commented Bárbara Reis.
The Fairmont Hotel in Rio did not comment until the end of the report.
