Crusoe: “The Return of the Pogrons The Antagonist

After the secondlargest massacre in its history on October 7, Jews are being hunted at an airport in Russia, their homes are being marked in Germany and cemeteries in Austria are being destroyed, it is said Crusoe.

“Persecution and massacres are an inseparable part of the thousandyear history of the Jewish people and today occupy a dark corner in the soul of each of its members and descendants. For everyone, the word “pogrom” has a painful weight. Although the term can be applied to any ethnic or religious group, its Yiddish origins in late 19thcentury Tsarist Russia leave no doubt as to who its preferred targets were. The largest pogrom in history was the Holocaust in World War II, in which 6 million people died at the hands of the Nazis. The second largest was the Hamas terrorist attack that killed 1,400 people on October 7th. As history proves, pogroms are never isolated events. So much so that in the following days there was an attempted massacre in the Russian province of Dagestan, Jewish homes in Germany were marked with the Star of David, cemeteries in Austria were destroyed, and American university Jews were threatened with death.”

“The reaction to all these episodes of antiSemitism was no different than after the Hamas terrorist attack. Instead of expressing outrage at the violence against people simply because they were Jews and condemning the brutality, the press tried to justify or contextualize the atrocity. According to these media, the threats to Jews in Dagestan would be a product of the outrage of the population there, the majority of whom are Muslims, over the situation of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, who were caught in the middle of the war between Israel and Hamas. One version even suggested that there were many Palestinian refugees among the men who stormed the Dagestan airport runway in search of Jews.”
