On Friday, fans went wild on social media as a huge Amazon original series returned for a second season: “That’s already a 10/10!”
“Invincible,” an adult animated superhero film, premiered on Prime in 2021 and its first season was so successful that Amazon renewed the program for a second and third season before the finale even aired.
The show follows Mark Grayson, 17, voiced by Steven Yeun, and his transformation into a superhero under the leadership of his father Omni-Man, the world’s most powerful superhero, voiced by famed character actor JK Simmons.
“Invincible” is based on the American Image Comics series of the same name, which ran from 2003 to 2018, and a live-action film is in the works. The first season of “Invincible” has a 98% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
The first of the eight episodes of Invincible’s second season was released on Friday and fans flocked to Twitter and Instagram to praise it.

Taking to Twitter, one fan wrote: “Radiohead montage in the opening!?Yeahhh (sic) this season of Invincible is already 10/10.”

The first four episodes of Invincible will be released weekly. There will then be a break before the final four are published weekly again.
Amazon has not yet announced when the second half of the series, which also stars Sandra Oh, will air.
A one-episode special of Invincible was released in July, focusing on recurring character Atom Eve and voiced by Gillian Jacobs.
The first season received a rating of 18 due to graphic violence, but the second season received a rating of 15, giving fans an indication of the content of the remaining episodes.
