A driver ran over two children in an English city – one of the two died on Friday morning.
The boy died at the scene of the accident, Essex Police said. Paramedics took the other child to a hospital. A man has been arrested following the crash in Stock, north-east London. Investigators accuse the 23-year-old of driving dangerously and possibly being under the influence of alcohol or drugs. “This is clearly an incredibly tragic incident which has affected many people in the area,” said Detective Inspector Mark Fraser. © dpa
