Matt Damon blends in with the crowd at Derby Day as he puts on an aminated show at the local horse race in Melbourne

Matt Damon was among the spectators at Derby Day in Melbourne on Saturday, taking part in a horse race like the locals.

The Hollywood superstar put on an animated show as he watched from the sidelines with a group of friends.

The 53-year-old was a guest of LANDMARK by Lexus and hung out with his wife Luciana Barroso and girlfriend Elsa Pataky.

Matt looked handsome in a well-tailored suit and sunglasses and he could be seen laughing and pointing as he went deep into the race.

The Bourne Identity star is close friends with Elsa’s husband Chris Hemsworth and often visits Australia to spend time at their mega-mansion in Byron Bay.

The actor lived with his family in the country for six months in 2021, where he filmed a role in the latest Thor episode.

“I’m so excited that my family and I will be able to call Australia home for the next few months,” Matt said before filming.

“Australian film crews are known worldwide for their professionalism and are a joy to work with. So the 14 days of quarantine will be worth it.”

He added: “Australia is definitely the lucky country.”

The American actor’s travels have only led to rumors that he wants to move Down Under with his family full-time.

A source told Woman’s Day: “Matt loves Australia…Chris is enjoying the quiet life away from Hollywood and that just makes it all the more appealing.”

It’s not the first time reports have surfaced about Matt’s alleged plans to move to Byron Bay.

“Matt is telling friends and colleagues in Hollywood that he is moving the family to Australia for a year,” a “top” source told the publication.

“Matt says the move will not impact his work as he will travel to where his projects are filmed.” He also tells his friends that he wants a safe place to raise his children. “

But despite rumors of a move Down Under, Matt has denied he is leaving the US.

“Matt has visited Australia several times recently, but he has not purchased a home there nor is he moving there,” his representative said at the time.

Matt is married to Luciana Barroso, 47, and the couple have three daughters together – Isabella, Gia and Stella.

The Good Will Hunting star is also the stepfather to Luciana’s daughter from her previous marriage, Alexia.
