Look what she forced them to do.
Die-hard fans have reportedly been camping out in tents for months ahead of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour stopping in Argentina next week.
The superfan Swifties are staying close to River Plate Stadium in Buenos Aires, hoping to secure the best standing room seats in the house for three sold-out shows on November 9th, 10th and 11th.
Waiting in lines to get Swift’s merchandise at previous tour stops has nothing to do with this wait.
“We’ve been in this tent for five months,” a 21-year-old fan, who wished to remain anonymous, told Pitchfork.
Admitting that her parents didn’t know about her sleeping arrangements, she maintained her space between her college classes and her part-time job, and revealed that she usually says she’s visiting “a friend” near the stadium.
And she’s not alone – dozens of tents line the sidewalk and look like a summer camp, friendship bracelets included.
One fan named Carmen said she spent 300 hours, or just over 12 days, sleeping in line outside. The co-organizers of the temporary campsite keep track of the participants, who must be over 18 years old.

Tickets for the coveted world tour were few and far between, regardless of the tour stop – unfortunate fans who didn’t gain entry to the advance ticket had to pay hundreds, if not thousands, for their seats. For those who only have tickets to next week’s shows, the stakes to see their favorite pop star have never been higher.
The sooner the Swifties take their place in the tent row, the better their chances of securing a spot near the stage.
Fans are not required to stay in the tents all day every day to keep their spot, although those who do earn brownie points with organizers.
“The fact that there are so many people makes things easier. We all have different schedules and you adjust your schedule to suit it,” said a fan named Irina, 20.

However, an internal list of rules was leaked online that included extra hours as a reward for surviving bad weather or spending an entire night on the concrete.
However, to stay in line, organizers require them to sleep a full night and spend at least 60 hours per month in the tents.
If Swifties can’t make it to their tents but don’t want to lose their spot, they can enlist the help of pop music superfans Debora and Sofia, who run an X account dedicated to camping for concerts and offering their waiting services in the snake for others.

Pitchfork estimates that they charge eager customers travel expenses and the service fee totaling around 700 Argentine pesos, which is equivalent to $2. Argentina is currently suffering from hyperinflation.
“I’ve been camping by myself since the One Direction show at Vélez-Sarsfield Stadium in 2014,” Sofia told a reporter. “After seeing good results from my efforts show after show, I moved on and started helping others earlier this year.”
However, the price of camping costs Swifties more than just their time or the pain of sleeping on concrete sidewalks – they have reportedly experienced regular heckling as passers-by utter insults like “Are you working?” “Are you studying” or “Are you taking a shower?”

But with less than a week until the first Eras Tour show in Buenos Aires, fans are brimming with anticipation, even as they say they feel a tinge of sadness that their campground fun is coming to an end.
“I don’t like the idea that there’s only a short amount of time left,” Carmen said. “The day will come and then what? What am I supposed to do with so much time at home when I no longer have to spend all day making friendship bracelets in the tent? Be a normal person again?”
