In SEMANA, Taliana Vargas reveals how she deals with vitiligo, which she has been suffering from for months; “I tried several treatments, none of them helped”

For the former queen, model, actress and current First Lady of the Californian people Taliana Vargas, these last months have been one of the most difficult phases of her life: together with her husband, the elected mayor of the capital of the valley, Alejandro Eder, she experienced weeks of a tough political campaign , in which there was no shortage of attacks and aggression.

According to Taliana’s story, she herself was a victim of the attacks. that came from her husband’s opponents in Cali. When several voices questioned his presence at the Petronio Álvarez Pacific Music Festival, one of the most popular in the city. His critics said that he was just “anointing himself into the city” because he had never been seen in this cultural area in previous years.

“I have suffered unfair attacks; because I usually go to Petronio since I have been living in Cali for ten years. When I married Alejandro, going to the festival and sharing traditions was always on the wedding agenda. And this year they invited me to open a show, I didn’t sneak in, I didn’t go on stage without an invitation. Today I believe that criticism has strengthened me and helped me understand the complexities of the public sphere in which major changes take place. But I didn’t have bad taste, I’m not malicious,” Taliana told SEMANA.

That’s exactly why, the former queen and actress said, she experienced election day, in which her husband won the mayoralty on the second attempt, “with a great sense of peace, not being sure of the outcome.” My husband and I could never have imagined this reception and the impressive support.”

And thanks to this inner peace, she assures that her health has not been compromised despite the stressful days that the political campaign brought. Especially because, as Taliana herself said a few months ago on her social networks, she suffers from vitiligo, a skin disease characterized by the appearance of whitish spots caused by a lack of pigment. In his case it affects his hands and legs.

“I wish all illnesses were like spots on the skin that didn’t hurt. I just see it as a lack of pigment and that’s it. Today I am grateful for each of my spots. And look, they didn’t rise despite the tough days of the campaign. I don’t do skin treatments anymore, I tried several but they didn’t help. I no longer have a problem with that. I have always been a natural woman, I want to grow old gracefully. Yes, God gave me some genes that I have used without surgery. When I was Miss Colombia they told me to have seven plastic surgeries and I made enemies of a lot of people because I didn’t agree with that. And it’s been 16 years and I never did it. Not even Botox. I never want to be a slave to vanity or beauty,” confessed the beautiful Samaria in SEMANA.
