A seriously injured survivor of Saturday evening’s attacks describes the events.
The woman claims she lost her husband in the bombings while their makeshift home was reduced to rubble.
“We were sitting on the sofa, I saw nothing but a red light and the house collapsing above us […] My daughters cried and screamed to make their father heard […] Later, civil defense came to save us one by one,” she said, adding that her husband was a “martyr.”

The woman who burst into tears during her CNN interview was in the refugee camp at the time of the attacks.
The latter is located in the center of the Gaza Strip, just a few kilometers from Gaza City and is almost surrounded by Israeli troops.
The IDF says it is carrying out these intense attacks with the aim of “destroying” Hamas, which is responsible for the October 7 terrorist attack on Israeli soil.
