Strictly’s Spoiler account admits they found it difficult to find a mole to blame the findings as bosses are “cracking down hard” on leaks.

The Strictly spoiler account has alerted fans that they were struggling to leak the show’s results this week after the show’s producers took tough action against them.

Each week, an anonymous person announces the name of the eliminated couple when the Saturday night results show is filmed, before officially airing on the Sunday results show.

However, The Strictly Spoiler account took to X – formerly known as Twitter – on Saturday and admitted they were struggling to find a source to break the elimination news.

They wrote: “Strictly spoiler update, I don’t have a mole this week and other reliable sources seem to be having issues too.”

“However, those of you living in the pandemic will know that no moles does not equate to no spoiler. “It does mean it could be in the morning, though.”

Many were quick to respond, saying, “Why are there no moles this week?”

A second asked: “Does this mean the BBC is on to their mole?!”

On Sunday morning, The Strictly Spoiler confirmed there were still difficulties finding the result before it was finally shared at around 1pm, just hours before the results were released.

The leaks can occur because the results show on Sunday evening is filmed immediately after the live show on Saturday and the audience, consisting of family members and friends of the participants as well as the public, is sworn to secrecy and their phones are confiscated.

This week’s delayed reveal comes after it was reported earlier in the series that bosses were on a mission to uncover the culprit.

A source told the Chron in September: “Enough is enough, it’s not fair to the fans, they’re excited to tune in to see who will dance together.”

“Procedures are now being put in place to see if the mole can be caught. It’s difficult though because so many people are involved with Strictly but bosses are determined to nail him or her down.”

Last year, judge Anton Du Beke publicly called on the “mole” to stop ruining the show for viewers.

Appearing on ITV’s Loose Women, he said: “It’s getting on my nerves. “Please stop. I don’t know who you are, but please stop. Do not do it. Why should you do it? Nobody knows who it is.’

He continued: “The audience, like the people who go there.” [Agatha Christie murder mystery play] With the mousetrap, for example, which has been around for years, we are all in it together.

“Knowledge is power and so on. Everyone agrees we don’t say anything, so I don’t know who does.”

The beloved Strictly judge then concluded: “They call you a spoilsport for a reason – because you are a spoilsport.” Don’t do it… Please stop spoiling it because people don’t want it knowledge.’
