Imagine being dead so you can continue living. This is how an Israeli model was saved from the massacre Hamas on October 7th during the rave party. Hamas militiamen managed to break through the armed fence separating Palestine from Israel and began firing indiscriminately at those present. “They surrounded us and continued shoot, tireless. I heard a girl scream, “Please, no.” But she was immediately kidnapped. “They did terrible, terrible things to her,” said the young woman, still in the hospital, through tears. Noam tried to escape by car, but all escape routes had been blocked by the terrorists, and in those moments, when the three thousand people were present, he realized what was really happening, he remembered how everyone was trying to save their relatives and friends contact and ask for help. There were also those who realized in these moments that they would not make it out of the massacre alive and who took advantage of those few minutes or seconds available to give a last farewell to loved ones.
“When the Hamas gunmen approached, David (the friend, editor’s note), grabbed me and threw me at the back of the container and told me to go as far down as possible. One of them jumped in and shouted: “Allahu Akbar’, a bomb exploded and they started shooting continuously. “It was a massacre,” the young woman continued, clearly shocked by what she saw. Her friend, hit by the bullet in the chest, died instantly, falling on top of her along with another girl who was hit in the shoulder.
Noam was shot in the side and foot. However, the unbearable pain and horror experienced were no stronger than the desire to survive. She held back her tears, pretended to be dead under the weight of her boyfriend’s body for almost two hours, and managed to wait alive for the emergency services to arrive.
