Katy Perry dedicates her final Las Vegas show to her daughter Daisy Dove: “She made me whole”

CNN –

As Katy Perry pressed play one last time during her Las Vegas stop on Saturday, she made sure to acknowledge a very special audience member: her daughter Daisy Dove.

“Daisy, I love you so much,” the “Roar” singer said on stage at the Resorts World Theater, as seen in videos posted on social media.

The three-year-old appeared on the video screens wearing a Minnie Mouse dress and adorably waved at Perry on stage. “You’re my best friend and I’m so glad you’re here,” Perry said.

At the end of the show, Perry gave an emotional speech in which she thanked her loved ones who she said had supported her stay in Las Vegas.

“I created this show after my daughter Daisy Dove was born. When I met her, it was like all the love I’d ever been looking for finally surfaced,” she said, according to a Video Posted on X, formerly Twitter.

Perry went on to say that Daisy “made me whole, healed me and showed me how to play again.”

“So this show is for everyone’s inner child and the hope that if we could all see life through the eyes of a child, maybe we would be free. Because never forget: love is and remains the key,” she said.

Orlando Bloom, Perry’s longtime partner and father of Daisy Dove, was also at Saturday’s concert and was seen at other shows videos posted on social media that he was dancing with his daughter while Perry performed her 2017 hit “Chained to the Rhythm.”

In her speech, Perry also thanked Bloom for being “an incredible support system” and a “great father.”

Bloom and Perry welcomed Daisy in August 2020, writing in an Instagram post at the time that they were “overflowing with love and wonder at the safe and healthy arrival of our daughter.”

Perry debuted her theatrical residency at Resorts World Theater in Las Vegas for the first time in 2021. Saturday’s concert ended her career.

“To my fans, what a wonderful celebration this was,” she said on stage before taking her final bow, adding: “Without you there would be no play.”
