DECRYPTION – Since Hamas’s barbaric attack on Israeli soil and the IDF’s response, the war in Ukraine has taken a back seat. In fact, this phenomenon has been observed for several months.
There was a time, not so long ago, when the war in Ukraine regularly made headlines and television sets devoted a large portion of their programming to analyzing the conflict. Until a few weeks ago, Ukrainian flags flew on the gables of many public buildings and international leaders flocked to Kiev. Then, on October 7, Hamas terrorists massacred hundreds of Israelis on their own soil and the Jewish state responded with an attack on Gaza. Since then, the focus has shifted from Eastern Europe to the Middle East. The war between Israel and Hamas has replaced the war in Ukraine in the media and in the minds of the Western population.
