Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, along with a delegation in Tehran, met with the head of Hamas’ political bureau, Ismail Haniyeh. “The permanent policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran is to support the Palestinian resistance forces against the occupying Zionists. The crimes of the Zionist regime in Gaza are directly supported by the US and some Western governments,” Khamenei said at the meeting.
During the meeting, Khamenei stressed the need for Islamic countries and international institutions to take urgent measures to stop Israel’s attacks on the Gaza Strip and called on Muslim states to provide practical support to the people of Gaza.
