Prince Harry was today accused of turning down an invitation to his father King Charles’ 75th birthday party.
The monarch will hold a ceremony a week later on Tuesday at Clarence House in London to mark this important milestone.
But while his close family and friends will attend the event, one face appears to be unable to make the appointment.
Insiders say that although the Duke of Sussex was invited to the soiree, he will not be attending on November 14th.
It is in stark contrast to the king’s last major birthday five years ago.
Then Harry and Meghan decided to postpone their honeymoon to attend a garden party in honor of his 70th birthday.
This is apparently the second time Harry has turned down the chance to spend time with his father.

An insider claimed that Prince Harry and the royal still “don’t talk much” due in part to Charles’ “disappointment” with his son’s portrayal of Queen Camilla in his memoirs
In September he declined the king’s offer to accompany him to Balmoral on the anniversary of Queen Elizabeth’s death, despite being visiting from California.
Details of this latest snub were first reported in the Sunday Times yesterday.
This comes after it was claimed on Sunday that Harry and the royal still “don’t talk much”.
The reason for the lack of contact is said to have been Charles’ “disappointment” with his son’s portrayal of Queen Camilla in his memoirs Spare.
Relations have been strained since he and Meghan Markle stepped down as senior royals and moved to California.
They made a number of claims about their treatment by the palace, including in a wide-ranging interview with Oprah and in Harry’s memoirs.
Although the Duke has since attended his father’s coronation at Westminster Abbey in May, his relationship with King Charles remains fractured – with the royal family not publicly celebrating his birthday in September.
An insider claimed that the Duke of Sussex received no personal congratulations from his brother, Prince William, or his father, King Charles.
In fact, they told the Telegraph: “Communication between the King and Prince Harry remains quite poor. “They don’t speak much, if at all.”

The source claimed this could be because “workaholic” King Charles prefers to communicate by phone or letter rather than my text messages and WhatsApp.
However, the insider suggested a different reason: Charles was “disappointed and dismayed” by Harry’s description of Queen Camilla in his memoir Spare.
The Duke said his stepmother was “dangerous” and a “villain” who “left bodies on the streets.”
He wrote in Spare: “I have complex feelings about winning over a stepparent who I thought had recently sacrificed me on her personal PR altar.”
Harry also accused Charles and Camilla of spreading “stories” about William and his family: “Give Pa and Camilla an inch, he said, they need a mile.”
The latest comes as Omid Scobie, the unofficial mouthpiece of Prince Harry and the Duchess of Sussex, launched a stunning attack on the royal family in promotional materials for his new book, branding Prince William “power-hungry” and King Charles “unpopular”.

Scobie, 42, author of “Finding Freedom,” the 2020 bestseller about the couple, unveiled the cover of his latest book, “Endgame,” with a stunning description on Amazon this week.
It described the hardcover book as “an in-depth examination of the current state of the British monarchy” – an unpopular king, a power-hungry heir to the throne, a queen willing to go to dangerous lengths to preserve her image, and a prince who is forced to create a new life after being betrayed by his own family.
A source told The Mail on Sunday: “I’ve been told this is bad, very bad. “Royal advisers are unlikely to comment on this, but if there are allegations of racism they will of course be vigorously denied.”
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex famously told US television host Oprah Winfrey that when Meghan announced her pregnancy, an unnamed member of the royal family asked what skin color their son Archie would have.
The Sussexes repeatedly denied working with Scobie and his co-author Carolyn Durand on Finding Freedom, but Meghan was later forced to admit in the Supreme Court that she had authorized an adviser to secretly inform the couple.
Endgame, released on November 28th, is likely to cause further unrest at Buckingham Palace. It is unknown whether the Sussexes contributed this time, although the author brags that he interviewed family members.
