Pamela Anderson, 56, decided to stop wearing makeup. At home and at major events, the star of the “Baywatch” series now prefers a look as natural as possible and said this Sunday (5) which led her to forego lipstick, eye shadow, concealer and blush. “I want to show the true woman that I am. I don’t always want to appear with makeup on. I had to be myself,” she commented to the Daily Telegraph.
Pamela’s transformation began at Paris Fashion Week. End of September. “I decided not to wear makeup and felt like a fiveyearold girl. Not wearing makeup is liberating, fun and a little rebellious,” she said.
The actress, who split from her husband Dan Hayhurst early last year, said she was surprised to hear she was trying to raise a flag or movement against beauty standards. “It wasn’t like that at all. I felt so free, I didn’t even know if they would notice. I just looked in the mirror and said, ‘You’re almost 60 and that’s good enough.'”
In a recent interview with Elle magazine, Pamela explained that it still feels strange to leave the house without makeup. She also spoke about being aware that she is getting older. “I think we all have more fun as we get older. I end up laughing at myself when I look in the mirror. For example: ‘Hey, what’s this… What’s happening to me?’. It’s an interesting journey,” she told the publication.
