A bus was involved in a one-vehicle collision in Seattle, Washington on Sunday afternoon before crashing into a building. One person was killed and twelve were injured.
The accident occurred at the intersection of 5th Avenue and Battery Street in the Belltown neighborhood, the New York Post reported, citing police sources.
The sedan was traveling south on 5th Avenue when it collided with the eastbound bus on Battery Street around 3:30 p.m.
The bus then left the lane, fatally struck a pedestrian on the sidewalk and then crashed violently into an adjacent building, the American tabloid reported.
The motorist was extricated from his vehicle and transported to hospital in a condition listed as critical, while the bus driver and his ten passengers were treated at the scene.
The road collision investigation team has been tasked with clarifying the circumstances surrounding this fatal collision, it said.
