Priscilla Presley was “very worried” about her biopic but says director Sofia Coppola was “right” because they “really connected.”

Priscilla Presley was initially “very worried” about filmmaker Sofia Coppola writing and directing her newly released biopic “Priscilla,” but she quickly gained their trust.

“To be honest, I think it’s exactly right,” Elvis Presley’s 78-year-old ex-wife said Friday at the South Point Casino, according to People.

“I have no problems whatsoever with what she did.”

The 52-year-old Oscar-winning screenwriter adapted her 113-minute film from Priscilla’s 1985 memoir “Elvis and Me,” co-written by Sandra Harmon.

“She really wanted it to be true,” noted Presley, who served as executive producer.

Elvis Presley’s 78-year-old ex-wife said Friday at the South Point Casino: “I think it’s right, to be honest… I don’t have any problem with what she did in any way.”

“I love her filmmaking. I think she’s doing a great job. It’s for women, and when she approached me about making a film about me, I was touched by it. If anyone were to make a film, it would be for them. I would never support another film by anyone else that does that.”

The Brooklyn-born great-grandmother recognized that Sofia knew what it was like to grow up sheltered from the spotlight thanks to her famous father, five-time Academy Award-winning filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola.

“She has such a big heart and her dad is very famous and she really connects with me,” Priscilla noted.

Coppola – who did not have the rights to Elvis Presley’s music – has only taken in $5.3 million of the film’s $20 million budget at the global box office since its Oct. 27 premiere.

Priscilla currently has a “certified fresh” rating of 84% from critics (from 178 reviews) and an audience score of 63% on Rotten Tomatoes.

In September, Cailee Spaeny won the Venice Film Festival’s Volpi Cup for Best Actress for her portrayal of Presley (née Wagner) during the 14 years she played on The King.

Meanwhile, the daughter of Elvis Presley Enterprises co-founder Lisa Marie Presley called the Priscilla script “shockingly vindictive and contemptuous” four months before her shocking death on January 12 at the age of 54.

“My father just comes across as predatory and manipulative,” Lisa Marie wrote in two emails obtained by Variety last Thursday.
