What is unsportsmanlike conduct?
A “Danger!” The candidate is being slammed by fans because he appeared to be rude to other challengers during his appearance on Friday.
Contestant Aaron Craig, who took part in the show’s Champions Wildcard tournament, drew the ire of some die-hard fans after he clapped for himself when host Ken Jennings announced Craig was the winner of the evening’s game.
“After the smug behavior, I turned off the TV,” one viewer said on Reddit. “I’m certainly not convinced that this guy will win, and I’m not even sure I’ll be watching the rest of the tournament. I’ve watched Jeopardy for decades and can’t remember seeing such rudeness.”
“The clapping at the end was unnecessary,” another Redditor added.
“My husband and I looked at each other with our mouths open lol. It was wild,” said a third person.
Other fans defended Craig and argued his gesture was justified.

“Heaven forbid a contestant has enough situational awareness to understand the importance of this cue and celebrate a little when they defeat two tough competitors,” one fan wrote.
“In Aaron’s defense, it can be difficult to control your emotions on stage,” commented former Champions Wildcard winner Jilana Cotter. “In one of my games (I have no idea which one), I was so angry that I called with a wrong answer that I stomped my foot.” She added that “adrenaline does wild things to you. “
Craig angered fans even more during Final Jeopardy! Shortly after Jennings, 49, read the note “British History.”

“In March 2015, the Archbishop of Canterbury led a religious ceremony for this late English monarch at Leicester Cathedral,” Jennings read.
After both competitors wagered and lost all the money they had earned during the game, Craig also failed to guess the correct answer, which was King Richard III. However, he only bet $32 and was left with a whopping $9,768.
When Jennings announced that Craig would advance to the final round of the tournament, the Canadian lawyer blew a kiss to the audience and began singing something indistinguishable.

The action led to more people complaining about his behavior.
Later that night, a person claiming to be Craig wrote an apology note on the Reddit forum.
“TJ [Tallie] and Leah [Wiegand] are amazing and lovely and brilliant, and either one of them would have been a great and deserving winner today,” Craig reportedly wrote. “I’m sorry if I got overly excited. I definitely didn’t want to show anyone off, but my kids were there and I couldn’t believe that they not only saw me play in the semi-finals, but also saw me win!
“Anyone who thinks I was exaggerating is 1000% fair,” Craig reportedly added. “There is no argument here.”
