Dominican Prime Minister announces national development measures

One of the current proposals concerns efforts to approve a loan from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to finance the Roseau Improvement Project, an initiative that will be presented to Parliament on November 10, according to digital media outlet Dominica News.

The Roseau Improvement Project aims to transform the island nation’s capital into a modern city with an aesthetically attractive urban center.

In addition, this comprehensive measure includes the revitalization of roads and bridges, the construction of pedestrian paths and the improvement of the city’s lighting infrastructure.

The Dominican government plans to build an entertainment complex with family attractions such as a bowling alley, a specially designed theater, a recording studio for local artists and other facilities.

In the area of agriculture, Roosevelt Skerrit emphasized his commitment to achieving a contribution of $700 million from agriculture to the economy by 2030.

He added that farmers will be supported with financing, technical assistance, greenhouses and farm space for agricultural start-ups.

The aim is to continue this trend by promoting the use of innovative technologies to develop agriculture into a profitable enterprise and increase the value of agricultural products.
