Nvidia’s RTX 4000 series should welcome a few newcomers, namely the GeForce RTX 4070 Super, the TX 4070 Ti Super and the RTX 4080 Super. Leaks suggest they will consume more or less the same power as their non-Super counterparts and offer a slight performance improvement. Those who can’t wait to get one won’t have to wait long now that the famous leaker’s information is out Kopite7kimi are accurate.
Nvidia plans to unveil the GeForce RTX 4080 Super, 4070 Ti Super and RTX 4070 Ti Super at CES 2024, which usually takes place in the first week of January. This information follows a previous prediction that suggested the GeForce RTX 4080 Super (then known as GeForce RTX 4080 Ti) would be unveiled in early 2024.
Of the three, only the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super (thanks, Jensen) gets a VRAM increase from 12GB to 16GB. However, it is powered by one of the two GPUs AD103-275 and AD102-175. Likewise, the GeForce RTX 4070 Super (12 GB GDDR6X VRAM) is split between the AD103-175 and AD104-350 GPUs. Luckily, the GeForce RTX 4080 Super will exclusively use an AD103-400 GPU.
So all that remains is the entry-level desktop GeForce RTX 4050. According to rumors, Nvidia will bring it onto the market in mid-2024 with 6 GB of VRAM. On the other side of the spectrum, the prospects of a GeForce RTX 4090 Ti appear dead.
