Kaitlin Armstrong trial updates: Text messages between Colin Strickland and Mo Wilson are revealed as the boyfriend at the center of the ‘Jealous Lover’ murder case is seen pushing a camera

The final messages exchanged between Kaitlin Armstrong’s cyclist friend and his former lover, who was found murdered just hours after the conversation, have been revealed.

On Monday, Kaitlin Armstrong’s trial for the murder of Moriah “Mo” Wilson continued with Armstrong’s former boyfriend Colin Strickland on the witness stand.

Armstrong is accused of murdering love rival Moriah “Mo” Wilson in Austin, Texas on May 11, 2022 – the same day Wilson had a platonic swimming date with Strickland.

Armstrong denies the allegations but has not yet provided an alibi. Her Jeep was filmed by neighborhood Ring cameras driving in and out of the crime scene at the time of the murder.

On Monday, Strickland – visibly frustrated as he walked through the courthouse – testified that Armstrong was jealous of his relationships and friendships with other women.

At some point during the long day of testimony, Strickland was seen in a court hallway pushing the camera out of a cameraman’s face and onto the floor.

On May 10, 2022, Wilson texted Strickland that she was coming to Austin for a race for a few days.

The couple planned to go swimming and have a drink on May 11.

At 4:32 p.m., she texted him to pick her up from her friend’s house. At 5:43 p.m. he texted her to let her know he was outside.

Strickland then told the court how he changed Wilson’s name on his phone to “Christine Wall” to avoid Armstrong’s wrath.

“It’s not anyone I know, but it’s the name I used in my phone for Mo,” he said.

If convicted, Armstrong faces up to 99 years in prison. Her lawyers claimed that the prosecution had no scientific evidence linking Armstrong to Wilson’s murder.

Last week, Strickland told the court he had concerns about entering into a long-term relationship with Armstrong.

Other texts indicated that Armstrong managed Strickland’s earnings as a professional cyclist.

In some messages, she warned him not to spend time with Wilson.

“I know you know better than to show up there [a cycling event] with this girl,” she wrote to him on October 28, 2021 – eight months before the murder.

He shot back: “Could you please be an adult? I’m not leaving because I’m trying to respect you.”

At 8:05 p.m. that evening he texted her again.

“Did you call Mo? Wtf?’ he asked. She told him she couldn’t speak.

In March 2022, Armstrong was angry when he saw a photo of the couple completing a cycling race on Instagram.

“Greetings Mo,” she joked.

“Can you please stop,” he begged her.

On the day of the murder, while swimming with Wilson, Strickland told Armstrong that he had gone to drop off flowers at a friend’s house.

‘Hey! Are you outside? I went to drop off some flowers for Alison at her son’s house up north and my phone was broken. “I’m going home unless you have another meal suggestion,” he said.

Last week, jurors were played Ring security camera footage from a neighbor in which Wilson could be heard screaming.

Three shots were heard.

Prosecutors say Armstrong shot Wilson twice in the head and once in the heart with a gun Strickland bought for her.

It is believed she then fled the apartment on Wilson’s bicycle, which was found in the bushes behind her apartment.

Armstrong fled Texas after an initial police interview. She flew to Costa Rica, where she reportedly only taught yoga.

Authorities said at the time that she paid for a nose job and dyed her hair brown after fleeing the United States and using her sister’s passport to fly out of the United States. Armstrong also used several pseudonyms while on the run, using the name “Ari” to woo a man she met at a tattoo shop while on the run.

Police arrested her after an anonymous tip and surveillance footage outside Wilson’s apartment allegedly showed the yoga instructor’s car.

She was arrested in July and brought back to Austin. A few weeks before the trial began, she tried to run away again during a doctor’s visit.

However, Armstrong only managed to stay on the run for about ten minutes before officers caught up with her.

Officers said she ran more than a block into a neighborhood but remained in their sight the entire time. The amateur yoga instructor was taken to Dell Seton Medical Center after attempting to escape.
