“We didn’t expect that. This is unexpected,” says Line Basbous, president of the Red Heads fan club (whose Facebook page has 102,000 subscribers).
After putting her career on hold because of Stiff Person Syndrome, Celine Dion made her first public appearance last week, sparking a hurricane of enthusiastic response from the music press and social media.
“Céline regains her taste for life. I knew she would come back, she’s a fighter,” reacted one fan of the Quebec singer, a comment that echoes thousands of others posted since her attendance at the Canadian-Golden Knights game last Monday in Las Vegas.

The news made the rounds in the American media, from Rolling Stone to Variety, which pointed out that his presence at Perry’s concert had attracted more attention than that of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
A return to the stage in spring?
Can one hope that these appearances herald a possible restart of his career?
The diva has not been seen on stage since the Courage tour was interrupted due to the pandemic in March 2020.

The latter even says he is optimistic about the possibility of Céline opening her residency at Resorts World this spring.
The message that she is doing better
A Quebec image specialist admits that his performances are chosen and calculated, but warns against excessive optimism.
“It remains speculation where this could lead, but seeing her in public sends the message that she is doing better,” says Pierre-Thomas Choquette, vice president of corporate communications at Arsenal Conseils.

One thing is certain: according to Line Basbous, the pessimism among Céline fans has given way to the highest hopes.
