When is the Big Brother final?

Big Brother 2023 started on October 8th and was supposed to last six weeks.

Since the first episode, season 20 has had a lot of drama and controversy.

The show found itself in the middle of a racism row after viewers slammed Olivia over a comment she made to fellow housemate Yinrun.

Olivia, 23, tried to teach her classmates a pop song called “Donald Where’s Your Hose?” but some of them struggled to understand her strong Scottish accent.

Kerry, from Essex, said: “I’ll be honest with you, I don’t recognize a single word you’ve said.”

While London-born Hallie added: “No, I just got Donald’s trousers.”

Olivia then pointed to Chinese-born Yinrun, who lives in Harrogate, and explained: “If you didn’t understand me, she’ll have no idea what the hell I just said.”

Her roommates Jordan and Henry were also at the center of the drama.

Jordan had a heart-to-heart with Henry, explaining that despite his flirty banter, their relationship was “purely platonic.”

Fans express their sympathy for Henry, who they believe was played like that [a] Violin’.

Viewers were also less than pleased when Jordan started flirting with fellow contestant Matty, leading to a messy love triangle.

The highly anticipated finale will hit screens on Friday, November 17th. The final week begins on Monday, November 13th.

What’s the price?

The winner of this year’s Big Brother doesn’t just receive icon status.

As previously confirmed by hosts Will Best and AJ Odudu, the winner will also receive a cash prize of £100,000.

Previously, the winners of the reality TV show walked away with varying amounts of money. Craig Phillips, who came first in the first season, won £70,000.

In the four following seasons the reward remained the same until Nadia Almada walked away with £63,500 in season five – £6,500 less than her predecessors.

In the sixth season the prize pot was again smaller and £50,000 was up for grabs.

Between the seventh and ninth seasons the jackpot rose to £100,000, its highest ever, but was then reduced to £71,320 for the tenth season.

As of the 11th installment the prize is still £100,000, however in some seasons the option to add or remove from the pot has been given.

The 16th season of the series, also called Big Brother: Timebomb, featured numerous time-related challenges.

The Cash Bomb challenge was taken away from the cast the week before last, leaving their £150,000 cash pot in jeopardy.

In the series, Chloe Wilburn ultimately secured the title of winner and took home £116,100, some of which she planned to donate to charity.

According to BetVictor, Yinrun is one of the top candidates to win this year’s season with odds of 7/4.

Despite the odds, this year’s 2023 title and £100,000 jackpot is not yet firmly in anyone’s hands.

Big Brother UK 2023 airs tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
