Megan Fox chose to use poetry as an outlet to recount certain difficult moments in her life; In Pretty Boys Are Poisonous: PoemsThe actress looks back on certain secret abusive relationships “with very famous people.”
“I’ve been through at least one physically abusive relationship and several very psychologically abusive relationships,” the 37-year-old actress admitted Tuesday in an interview to promote her first book on Good Morning America.
While the “Jennifer’s Body” star doesn’t reveal any specific names, her poems in “Pretty Boys Are Poisonous” cover various themes surrounding abuse.
“I’ve only been publicly linked to a few people, but I’ve shared my energy with some terrible people. And also very famous, very famous people,” said the woman, who counted on the support of her fiancé, musician Machine Gun Kelly, to write this collection.
The mother of three (with her ex-husband, actor Brian Austin Green) explains that some poems were not published for fear of the attention they might attract.

“Sometimes being famous is too much. If I had had the freedom to just be a poet without people trying to get too interested in my personal life, I would have included more posts like this [révélateurs, notamment en abordant la violence domestique]”, She says.
Megan Fox also says she suffered a miscarriage not long ago; a great pain that she shared with her fiancé.
The actress emphasizes that all of these pages represent “her freedom”. She hopes her words can inspire others to “take back control of their happiness and identity.”
“Relationships are complicated. For most of us, this is not a fairy tale. Relationships aren’t pretty. They are ugly. Sometimes it’s a war. But through injury comes the opportunity to grow and become a stronger version of yourself.”
