Live broadcast in Calgary: Alberta premier will join Tucker Carlson on stage – Le Journal de Québec

American conservative political commentator Tucker Carlson, who was removed from Fox News last April, will host an onstage conversation with Alberta Premier Danielle Smith early next year.

The meeting will take place Jan. 24 at the Telus Convention Center in downtown Calgary, according to Ticketmaster’s website. Ticket prices to attend range from $224 to $442, depending on pre-sale information available on the website.

This appearance by the former Fox News host comes a few months after his documentary about COVID-19 public health restrictions in Canada was pulled by the American broadcaster last May.

He also supported the January 6, 2021 riots at the U.S. Capitol and the “Freedom Convoy” protesters in Ottawa.

“Why don’t we send a force north to liberate Canada from Trudeau? And I really mean it,” Mr. Carlson said on air in January 2023.

Smith’s press secretary Sam Blackett told the Toronto Star that the Alberta premier “attends various public and private events and interviews dozens of journalists, broadcasters and podcasters from across the political spectrum.”

“It’s obvious that she doesn’t agree with every opinion of every interviewer or reporter she speaks to, be it CBC, Toronto Star or Tucker Carlson,” he said.
