Different priorities than Jon Snow for the spin-offs of game of Thrones
“We still have scripts for Game of Thrones in development. We greenlit Dunk and Egg in the spring,” he said, referring to the series order “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Knight Hedges,” based on three short stories by George RR Martin: The Knight Errant (1998) , The Lie Sword (2003) and The Dragon Egg (2010). “I wouldn’t say there’s anything else in this universe that’s close to being greenlit,” he added, before clarifying, “But we’re still working on scenarios and other ideas.”
The author of game of Thrones would like to watch a series about Jon Snow
In 2021, Casey Bloys hinted that the Game of Thrones spin-off series that would see the light of day would be the one most likely to please the public. “Obviously we know that George has this incredible world with all these really rich, complicated stories and all these characters,” he told TV Line at the time. The author even confirmed in June 2023 that Kit Harington would reprise his role in a series about Jon Snow – aka Aegon Targaryen. He even went as far as to explain that the working title of the series was Snow and that the English actor was very involved in the project. Kit Harington’s co-star Emilia Clarke later said that Harington had spoken to her about it: “I know it exists. It’s happening.” Of course, if the series is to see the light of day, we’ll have to wait a long time before it comes to life.
