Rochelle Humes breaks down in tears during the This Morning interview with Harry Mills, nine, who is battling rare bone cancer

Rochelle Humes cried during Wednesday’s episode of This Morning, where nine-year-old Harry Mills made a heartbreaking appearance.

Harry, known as Hazza, was on the ITV show to talk about his fundraising for Young Lives vs Cancer after he was recently diagnosed with a rare bone cancer.

The schoolboy is currently undergoing intensive chemotherapy and is due to undergo surgery next week. As his father Andy explained, he was most worried about losing his hair during treatment.

As a show of solidarity, Harry’s close friends have shaved their heads to match their pal, telling This Morning: “We wanted to do it so Harry wouldn’t be alone.”

Mum-of-three Rochelle cried as Harry’s friends joined him in the studio and told the boys: “Oh my God, you’re bringing me tears of joy.”

Crying, Rochelle said to them: “I’m sorry, it’s just a nice story about good friends and we can learn so much from it.”

Viewers at home also got emotional with a post on X, formerly known as Twitter:

“He’ll never be alone.” That’s right, whoever is cutting onions better stop right now.”

“Harry and his friends really touched me here,” another agreed, while another wrote that “tears are flowing.”

Harry and his friends have raised over £30,000 in donations, well above their original target of £10,000.

His father explains on the fundraising page he set up how his son is “facing intensive chemotherapy and having to undergo surgery to remove a tumor on his femur.”

Harry told This Morning of his diagnosis: “It was really scary. ‘I didn’t know what I was going through or what was going on.’

“I felt very nervous and scared every time I walked into a room that wasn’t a giant X-ray.”

Rochelle and co-host Craig Doyle told the boys they would be increasing the donation amount, with Craig asking his co-star: “How do you feel about £500 for a shaved head?”

Rochelle wiped away tears, confirmed “why not” and said they would donate £2,500.
