HISTORY – A French military doctor from the Army Health Service (SSA) was trapped there.
The story is neither confirmed nor denied by the Federal Ministry of Defense. But according to Le Canard aîné, a French military doctor from the Army Health Service (SSA) was recently “exfiltrated” from Gaza. He was there on behalf of Doctors Without Borders. His military hierarchy had forbidden him from traveling: every trip to a country that is at risk for a soldier requires approval. He apparently arrived before the Hamas attack on October 7 and found himself trapped there. The French foreign secret service DGSE intervened to get him out. “The whole story doesn’t add up,” says a source familiar with the matter.
“Doctors Without Borders would like to point out that the 22 members of its international team left the Gaza Strip for Egypt via the Rafah border crossing on November 1st.
