The insane who destroy museums strike again – Le Journal de Montréal

They struck again.

WHO?

The mentally ill who smear tomato soup on paintings in museums or stick their heads in it, which seems absurd at best.

I would add that they have become radicalized: the most recent ones in London are hitting the safety glass that is supposed to protect the works with hammers.

Why do they do that?

Officially, for our companies to stop oil production.

Their goal: to show us that the greatest achievements of the human spirit are no longer worth anything on an uninhabitable planet.

We will not be fooled by this environmentalist pseudo-rationality.

In fact, these disoriented young people demonstrate, above all, a profound nihilism: self-diagnosed as environmentally anxious, they actually fall into the nihilism that is the fruit of their debrainization and deculturation.

First of all, the debraining: you often just float in the virtual universe.

As soon as they touch the outside world, they feel insulted. A contradictory idea scares them.

They now cling to their environment through a form of ideological intolerance that drives them to want to destroy the world around them before it is drawn into their demise. Sometimes they are even tempted to voluntarily make themselves ugly: the question is who will be deconstructed the most aesthetically.

Her claimed psychological fragility leads her to a form of psychological breakdown, the signs of which multiply. You only have to see them walking around the street, often with zombie-like eyes, to be convinced.

Then deculturation: They pay the price for their cultural uprooting. They were born into a civilization that hates itself and blames itself for all evil. She accuses herself of racism, sexism, transphobia and now ecocide. Western civilization has done so much damage to the planet that it would have to plan its own disappearance to relieve humanity.

This part of the younger generation has lost their minds and fallen into an apocalyptic hallucination that no longer has much connection to reality.

I’ll go even further: We live in a society that promotes madness.

The “mental health” of a population depends on the cultural and symbolic framework conditions that structure it existentially and which make it possible to respond to the existential fears of each individual.

Self-destruction

These frameworks have collapsed over the last fifty years. They were overthrown, more precisely, to free the individual. But he felt abandoned, as if he were existentially naked in a world that he no longer supports.

Is this surprising when we think about the role that anxiolytics play in regulating each person’s behavior?

I would like to add that we are not helping these young people by adopting an “understanding” attitude towards them. They would have to hit a wall to meet a strong authority who would teach them how to grow up.

You can not find it. And they suffer. To the point of self-destruction. And wanting to take the world with you.
