Venom 3 is set to hit theaters in late fall

‘Venom 3′ is set to hit theaters in late fall 2024 as the actors’ strike ends and the pic resumes production

Venom: Let There Be Carnage release

Sony/Marvel

November 8, 2024 belongs to Venom 3. Sony always had the date for a Marvel film on hold. It was for this film. The film’s date was previously set for July 14, 2024. That wasn’t planned, as this actors’ strike lasted 118 days and the studios and SAG-AFTRA negotiated a new three-year contract tonight.

“Venom 3” is one of the few major Hollywood films that plans to resume filming as quickly as possible before the end of the year.

Tom Hardy returns as deadly protector Venom. The film is directed by Kelly Marcel, who also wrote the screenplay with the story of Marcel and Hardy. Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, Amy Pascal, Kelly Marcel, Tom Hardy and Hutch Parker are the producers.

With two films, the Venom franchise brings in $1.36 billion in worldwide box office. In domestic BO, 2021’s “Venom: Let There Be Carnage” owns the third-best October opening at $90 million, while 2018’s first “Venom” has the fourth-best opening at $80.2 million the month has.

Sony will have access to PLFs and Imax screens at the new date.

Venom 3 leaves behind an untitled New Line horror film on July 14 next year, entering a phase where 20th Century Studios’ Rachel Brosnahan-Rami Malek action thriller The Amateur is becoming stale.

Not yet dated is Sony’s Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, which has been pushed back from an Easter weekend 2024 release to TBD; This film still needs its actors to record voiceovers. The sequel to that picture, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, proved there is no such thing as superhero fatigue at the box office, grossing over $690 million last summer.
