NHL: Patrick Kane is preparing his comeback

Patrick Kane has not been on the ice since his former club, the New York Rangers, were eliminated in the 2023 playoffs against the New Jersey Devils and is expected to make his comeback to the National Hockey League (NHL) shortly.

And for good reason: The former Chicago Blackhawks are recovering from hip surgery they suffered on June 1st. He therefore decided not to reach an agreement with an NHL team before being reinstated.

With his recovery nearing an end, Kane, along with his agent Pat Brisson, is now reviewing offers made to him by certain teams in the Bettman circuit, according to information provided by hockey expert Pierre LeBrun from The Athletic website.

“We’re starting to talk to teams about possibilities, to coaches and general managers,” Brisson told this source. It’s a bit like the interview period we had on July 1st. That’s where we start.”

As a reminder, according to rumors that have been circulating for several weeks, several teams such as the Buffalo Sabers and the Florida Panthers would be interested in offering him a deal.

Last year, Kane scored 21 goals and 36 assists for 57 points with the Blackhawks and Rangers.
